I conceptualized a redesign for Voyant Tools, a web-based text analysis website. To discover areas of improvement for beginner users' experience, I conducted a lab study with first time users, taking ethnographic field notes during their use and giving short surveys with the participants after they finished. This included also my first experience with Voyant Tools. The most valuable insights gathered in this stage were compiled into a mind map.

Mind Map

Based on the field notes and feedback, three changes were conceptualized at the macro, meso, and micro level. These three alterations are proposed in the pamphlet PDF below.
Afterward, I designed a screen-display implementation of Voyant in a library setting, named Voyant Know-Now. Voyant Know-Now is an interactive utility that fosters and satisfies visitors' curiosity in their library experience while also adding value to Carol Library's collection of texts and literature.
